Meet the Fishers
Since nearly its inception the Learning Place has been a home away from home for the Fisher children. Kassi, the first to attend, was tutored by Wendy Ireland, followed shortly by Aly. As the rest were born as soon as they were old enough to attend they followed. Although Wendy was our first tutor, there were many more who were eventually an integral part of our lives, April, Shelly, Beverly and of course Catherine. Helping with a wide variety of subjects, Latin, French, Astronomy, Research Paper, Civics, and of course the nuts and bolts… math, reading, English, and science. National standardized testing and science labs were also on the menu. The Learning Place is our home, our family. The tutors have attended multiple graduations and even attended Bella’s birth. They were instrumental in nurturing, advising and empowering each child to be lifelong learners.
